Guestbook

After all the preparations your wedding requires, at the end of the day - your wedding day is just that - a day. And very often not all the warm memories of that day stay with you. One of the ways to keep them forever is to let your friends and family share with you what your wedding day meant to them. Let them sign in a guest book.

Once again you do not need to limit yourself in the choice of material for such a book. Ask one of your creative friends to compile a small scrap-book for you as a wedding gift (for a more intimate wedding) or let your stationer bind pages matching your invitation into a cover with your initials or photograph printed on.

CHOICE OF MATERIAL FOR INSIDE PAGES

Go for as smooth paper as possible. As a rule, handmade paper absorbs more ink and therefore causes ink blotches and is generally uncomfortable to write on. Stationery shops offer a great variety of different finishes of paper that comes in various colors too. One of your options is to save on paper that goes inside by using ordinary white paper used for photo copies and office printing, and insert either handmade paper, organza or colorful tracing paper in between to make your book more interesting. This will also allow you to make something more special for the cover: make a collage of your photographs and create your own wrap for the cover by photocopying the collage, dress your book in velvet or a left-over from the bridal dress material, ask your grandmother to embroider a monogram.

As the reception proceeds, ask your master of ceremonies to draw guests' attention to the book and encourage them to sign it. You could also ask one of your friends to take it from a table to table, or even make it available in the period between the wedding ceremony and the reception to keep the guests busy while you are taking photographs.
